Being a little kinder in your day-to-day life can make a lot of difference, not only for those around you but also for yourself. Read on to check out five tips that will help you spread the kindness.
Use your manners: never underestimate the importance of being polite to people around you. There are so many rude people out there, which can be kind of poisonous to others. On the other hand, being nice can make someone’s day
Ask questions to others: sometimes, asking a small question such as “How was your day?” or “Tell me about it” can make people around you feel like you care. It might sound simple, but you'd be surprised at the difference it can make.
Have a smile: being positive can make everyone around you feel happier, and a kind smile, even if just to acknowledge another person in the room, can accomplish a lot. The great thing about this tip is that once you start, it's easy to keep doing!
Be more considerate: if you are having a tough day, remember that other people have feelings too. If somebody is making you feel frustrated, try to avoid bursting out at them: they are people too!
Clean after yourself: at times, it is quite easy to visit a coffee shop and head out leaving an empty mug behind, or your lunch tray. If you take a moment out of your time to return it to the front desk or throw it in the trash, you will improve someone else’s day with a kind gesture!
